Young Woman Killed in Southwest Minnesota Collision

Worthington, MN (KROC-AM News) - A young woman from a small town in southwestern Minnesota has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon.
The State Patrol says 22-year-old Kasey Hix of Ellsworth was driving on a highway about 4 miles north of Worthington when her SUV collided with a pickup truck at a rural intersection shortly before 1 PM. The crash caused the SUV to roll over.
The State Patrol says Hix was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 75-year-old Terry Meyer of Reading, was taken to the hospital in Worthington with non-life-threatening injuries.
