$100K Bail for Man Arrested in Rochester Drug Raid
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Bail was set at $100,000 today for a Rochester man who was arrested last Friday during a drug bust in downtown Rochester.
Forty-nine-year-old Chad Westby was arraigned this morning in Olmsted County Court on a first-degree drug sale charge. He also faces one count of second-degree drug possession and two counts of fifth-degree drug possession.
Downtown Rochester Residents Raided
The criminal complaint says Westby was taken into custody after the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at his residence in the 100 block of North Broadway Friday morning. The search led to the seizure of more than 20 grams of fentanyl, a small amount of methamphetamine, and 33 Xanax pills.
More Than $10K Cash Seized
The court document says investigators also found $10,500 in cash, along with numerous digital scales and cell phones. The amount of drugs, cash, and other items are described in the complaint as indicative of drug sales.

Criminal Past
Court records indicate Westby was placed on probation for 40 years as a result of a drug dealing conviction in 2017. He was later given probation for a burglary conviction stemming from a break-in and the theft of copper from the former AMPI plant along South Broadway in Rochester in 2021.
