11-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Three-Vehicle Crash Near Rochester, MN
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A three vehicle crash just south of Rochester sent an 11-year-old boy to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
The State Patrol responded to the collision along Hwy. 52 at the Marion Rd. interchange. The crash was reported shortly before 1:45 p.m.
The state crash report indicates three cars traveling in the southbound lanes collided. One car was carrying four people from Lanesboro, including the 11-year-old boy, who was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle with the injured boy was identified as 18-year-old Jonathan David Rothen of Lanesboro. He and two other 16-year-old girls from Lanesboro in the vehicle escaped the crash without injuries.
The two other drivers, identified as 18-year-old Chloe Alyssa Mart of Utica, MN and 23-year-old Abigail Dawn Stafslien-Dumale of La Crosse, were also unharmed by the crash. Everyone involved in the three-vehicle collision was buckled up and alcohol was not involved, according to the state report.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the scene of the three-vehicle crash.
