
2-Year-Old Child Severely Injured in Rural Minnesota Crash

Rice, Mn (KROC-AM News) - A young child suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Friday afternoon in central Minnesota.
The State Patrol says the two-year-old boy from Hutchinson was transported to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis following the crash in Benton County. The child was a passenger in a Volkswagen that collided with a pickup at the junction of Highway 10 and 155th Street near the town of Rice around 2:40 PM.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 21-year-old Jasmine Kron of Hutchinson was transported by Mayo Clinic ambulance to a hospital in St. Cloud along with another passenger, 20-year-old Prestin Peterson of Hutchinson. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.
The 69-year-old Kansas man driving the pickup and his 67-year-old passenger were not injured.
