A news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a stabbing complaint at a truck stop in Rothsay, which is about 20 miles northwest of Fergus Falls. The stabbing was reported shortly after midnight.

Officials say the stabbing victim, described as a 42-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies then arrested 52-year-old John Fogelman in connection with the stabbing.

He was booked into the Otter Tail County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault and domestic assault. Authorities say the suspect and victim know each other. The hometowns of the suspect and victim were not disclosed.
