Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the busiest streets in downtown Rochester was closed to traffic this morning.

Rochester police, the Rochester Fire Department, and other emergency personnel responded around 8 AM to a car-pedestrian incident on 2nd Street Southwest near the intersection with South Broadway. Police Captain John Sherwin says traffic was kept off 2nd Street between Broadway and 1st Avenue for the emergency response and investigation.

Few details about the incident had been released, but Sherwin says reports indicated the person struck by the vehicle was unconscious when officers arrived at the scene.
