Winona (KROC-AM News) - A 73-year-old woman was killed after a Hino Straight Truck struck her as she was crossing Highway 14 Monday morning in Winona.

The Minnesota State Patrol Reports that 73-year-old Jane Schoewe of Winona died after she was struck by the Hino Straight Truck while she was crossing southbound across Highway 14 at the intersection of Knoop Valley Drive around 7 a.m. this morning. The truck was traveling eastbound on the highway.

The driver of the truck, 60-year-old Paul Scott of Winona, was not injured in the crash.

MnDOT says the Minnesota State Patrol and local law enforcement officials were investigating this incident that led to the closure of Highway 14 between Seminary Dr and Winona County Highway 21. The detour was lifted around 10:00 AM.
