9 Deaths on Minnesota Roads in 6 Days
Brooklyn Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - The death toll on Minnesota roadways continues to mount.
A day after six people perished in crashes on roadways throughout the state, including two young children in a multi-vehicle wreck in the northern Minnesota highway construction zone, police in Brooklyn Center are reporting a fatal motorcycle crash. The deadly incident was reported about 2 PM Thursday.
A preliminary report indicates Brooklyn Center officers responded to a 911 call reporting an accident involving a motorcyclist and found an unconscious adult male "bleeding profusely." A news release says the officers performed lifesaving measures on the motorcyclist, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
Since Saturday, there have been 9 traffic fatalities in Minnesota. One of the victims was a Rochester man. 76-year-old Lonnie Miller was killed in a rollover crash on I-90 in Faribault Wednesday morning.
