Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - This could one of the coldest Halloweens in Rochester weather history.

The National Weather Service expects temperatures will drop below freezing by sunset, when kids head out for trick-or-treating.

The coldest Halloween on record for the Rochester area in 1996 and 1917 when the high temperature only reached 30 degrees. Tuesday’s high is expected to be around 35.

The average high temperature on Halloween is 51. Winds are expected to be calm by sunset.
