Albert Lea Motorcyclist Badly Hurt in Western Minnesota Crash
Detroit Lakes, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Albert Lea man suffered severe injuries while driving a motorcycle in Western Minnesota on Friday.
A State Patrol crash report indicates 68-year-old Dale Stiel was traveling east on Highway 34 in Otter Tail County when he made a left turn into the path of a westbound car at a rural intersection about 15 miles southwest of Detroit Lakes. Stiel was transported to Stanford Medical in Fargo with what the State Patrol described as life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol report also notes he was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred a little before 4:30 Friday afternoon.
The 65-year-old Pelican Rapids woman driving the car was not injured.
