Alcohol Suspected in Critical Injury Crash Near Stewartville
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash near Stewartville that left a woman in critical condition.
Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Melinda Hanson says deputies responded around 2 AM Friday to a report of a crash in the 5200 block of County Road 139 Southeast in Pleasant Grove Township. The 911 caller reported finding a friend who had been ejected from the vehicle after crashing.
The driver, currently only identified as a 32-year-old Stewartville woman, had suffered serious injuries. She was transported to St. Marys Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
Lieutenant Hanson says it is suspected that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Stewartville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
