Roseville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Steele County man had something to celebrate after deciding to stay home Halloween night and getting an unexpected treat.

The Minnesota State Lottery says Alex Blaschko of Ellendale won $100,000 playing the Lottery’s Fireball 7s scratch game.

The Lottery says Blaschko and his girlfriend “ were supposed to have a movie night but that never happened. There was too much excitement!”

The two went to Lottery headquarters in Roseville the next day and claimed the prize. When asked what his plans are for the prize money, the full-time college student replied, “Pay off some of my debt and help out my family.”

Blaschko purchased the lucky ticket at Casey’s General Store in Ellendale.
