Rich Peterson interviewed the book's author, Bruce Henderson this morning on Rochester's Good Morning.

In the genre of "Unbroken", except this was an internment camp with more than two thousand civilians being held captive by the Japanese in the Phillipines from just after the attack at Pearl Harbor to their liberation on February 23, 1945.  70 years ago.

It's a tremendous tale of survival and the elite 11th Airborne Division's mission to rescue them from deep inside enemy territory.
