Byron, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Byron High School will be open on Thursday, but another Byron school will be closed due to heavy snow on the roof.

Byron School District Superintendent Joey Page says a structural engineer today recommending shutting down the community’s intermediate school until the deep snow can be removed from the roof. As a safety precaution, no classes, meetings, or events will be held in the building until further notice.

The Byron High School was closed Wednesday because of structural concerns. Page says clearance was given today to reopen the building following the removal of 120 tons of snow.
