Another Fatal Fire in Alexandria; Teen Killed in Latest Blaze
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (AP) — Officials say a 19-year-old woman has died in a fire in Alexandria, the third fire fatality in the city this month.
Alexandria Fire Chief Jeff Karrow tells KSTP-TV that fire broke out in a multiple-dwelling residence Monday morning. The building was on fire when officers and deputies arrived.
The name of the victim has not been released. The fire remains under investigation.
The fatality follows the deaths of two people in a mobile home fire on Jan. 5. Karrow says before that there had not been a fire fatality in the city in 15 years.
