32-year-old Antoine Goodman is accused of being involved in a shooting that occurred in a Rochester motel two years ago. The Farmington man is charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and illegal possession of a firearm. Goodman was scheduled to stand trial on June 19.

Following his arrest, he was being held on $100,000 conditional bail, but that was modified last June and he was released from custody on conditions with no bail.

Goodman and another man were accused of firing a dozen shots into an occupied room at the Motel 6 in northwest Rochester on July 17, 2021. The police report on the incident indicated a woman in the room where shot in the back.

The criminal complaint says Goodman was identified as a suspect after police obtained a surveillance video from the motel that recorded a car that was used by the shooters. Investigators later learned the vehicle was registered to Goodman.

The second man charged in the case, 33-year-old Tiron Brown, entered into a plea agreement a little over a week ago that resulted in an Alford plea to a felony count of threats of violence. The plea means he does not admit guilt but acknowledges there is enough evidence to find him guilty. Brown, who had a Kasson address when the shooting occurred, is scheduled to be sentenced on August 14. His plea deal recommends that he be sentenced to the time he has already served behind bars since his arrest.
