At Least 2 People Killed in Minneapolis Crash
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A three-vehicle crash in Minneapolis Thursday evening has claimed at least two lives.
The Minneapolis Police Department has issued a statement concerning the deadly incident, which was reported around 5:45 PM on Hiawatha Avenue. It says preliminary reports indicate a car was headed south on Hiawatha Avenue at a high rate of speed when it went over the median and collided with two vehicles headed in the opposite direction.
Minneapolis police say the driver of the vehicle that crossed the median may have suffered medical complications before the crash. That person and the driver of one of the other cars suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and are being treated at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
The news release indicates the driver and passenger of the third vehicle were pronounced dead after they arrived at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
The names of the victims and the two critically injured drivers have not been released.
