
Employee Stabbed During Rochester Cell Phone Store Robbery, Suspects Captured After Foot Chase
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two people are in custody following a stabbing during a robbery at a Rochester cell phone store.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson. Officers responded to the store shortly before 8:30 Tuesday evening.
The preliminary investigation indicates the employee suffered a large laceration after being cut by a knife during a fight with the robbery suspects.
Young Rochester Men Arrested After Stabbing During AT&T Store Robbery
Grayson says the reported robbery and stabbing occurred at the AT&T store at 430 Crossroads Dr. Southwest.
The robbery suspects entered the store through the back door and began stealing multiple phones, the police report says.
The young men cut the employee during a physical struggle that ensued when he tried to stop the alleged robbery, police say.

The suspects then fled the store out the back door and were spotted by officers in the area of South Broadway Ave. and 14th St. Grayson says the suspects were arrested after a brief foot chase.
They have been identified as 26-year-old Ahmed Ali and 20-year-old Bilal Hilowle. Both Rochester men are being held in the Olmsted County Jail and could face charges of aggravated robbery, Grayson says.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance responded to the scene and transported the employee to the hospital. Police are describing the worker's stab wound as non-life-threatening.
Officers recovered a knife and multiple phones at the store, Grayson says.
