Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain James Schueller says the autopsy is scheduled to occur Wednesday. He also said the sheriff’s office will not yet release the woman’s identity fearing it would compromise the investigation at this time.

Schueller said investigators returned to the scene of the body discovery for further examination Tuesday and did not find anything that could’ve been missed under the cover of darkness. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the body discovery at the intersection of River Bluff Ln. and West River Rd. Northwest in Cascade Township Monday.

They were called there by a woman who found an arm sticking out of the snow around 4:30 p.m. Schueller said there is no danger to the public. The body discovery is being described as a suspicious death investigation.
