Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two men were revived from drug overdoses reported in Rochester over the holiday weekend.

Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers responded to the first drug overdose at a residence in the 1500 block of Marion Rd. Southeast around 11:50 p.m. on Friday. He said officers administered two doses of Narcan to revive the 32-year-old man.

The man was then brought to St. Mary’s Hospital for further evaluation. Moilanen said it’s unknown what substance caused the overdose. 

Officers responded to their second overdose call of the holiday weekend at a northwest Rochester sober house in the 3800 block of 44th Ave. around 1:47 a.m. Monday. Residents of the house reported reviving a 28-year-old man with five doses of Narcan.

He was also brought to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment. Moilanen said the man told officers he thought he had smoked heroin.
