Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers responded to an emergency call in the area of 20th St. and 3rd Ave. Southeast at 11:54 p.m. The caller told officers they saw the apparent victim attempt to stand up on his own before collapsing in the street.

Responding officers say the man was unresponsive then woke and was able to tell them he had been mountain biking earlier in the day. Molianen said police recovered the bike at the scene and that the bike did not appear to have been struck by a vehicle.

He also said there was no evidence to indicate the man had been assaulted. The man is identified as a 45-year-old Rochester resident.
