Body Pulled from Minnesota River Launches Death Investigation
Shakopee, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities are investigating the death of a man whose body was pulled from a river.

A news release issued by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the report of a body in the river shortly before 8:00 Tuesday evening. The body discovery was reported by a 911 caller.
Responding deputies found the body in the Minnesota River near the Lewis St. bridge in Shakopee.
Authorities say the body was underneath the east side of the bridge a few feet from the shore.
The person is believed to be an adult male. No foul play is suspected at this time, the news release says.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the body and has been tasked with identifying the man and determining his cause and manner of death.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Shakopee Police Department and Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are conducting the death investigation.
