
Body Discovered in Wooded Area Near University of Minnesota, Police Investigating
Minneapolis, MN (MinnesotaNow)- Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered over the weekend near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

That’s according to a statement issued by Minneapolis Park Police. So far limited information is available.

Police in Minneapolis Find Body in Wooded Area Between U of M Campus and Mississippi River
Park police and Minneapolis police officers responded to the report of a body discovery around 6:00 Saturday evening.
The officers located the body in a wooded area near East River Pkwy. and Oak St., which is just south of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
Police say the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not list the person’s gender or age.
Death Investigation Ongoing
A cause of death will be determined by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Minneapolis Park Police are continuing to investigate.
