Body of Missing Man Pulled from Minnesota Pond
Eagan, MN (KROC-AM News)- A death investigation is underway in the Twin Cities after authorities recovered the body of a missing man from a pond.
The Eagan Police Department says officers were dispatched to the report of an unoccupied vehicle with an open door shortly before 1:30 Monday morning. Officers found it near a townhome complex.
Upon further investigation, officers learned the man who had been driving the vehicle had not returned home and was reported as a missing person. The news release says officers and investigators began searching the area and found the man’s body in a pond around 2:20 p.m. Monday.
The man’s name has not been released. He is being described as 51 years old.
Officials say the investigation is open and active, however there’s not believed to be a danger to the public. The news release does not indicate if foul play was involved in the man’s death.
