Body Pulled From Duluth Harbor Likely Missing UMD College Student

It appears we likely have a sad ending to the case of missing UMD college student Jacob Lavoie, who disappeared over Labor Day weekend after leaving Grandma's Sports Garden in Canal Park.

According to a breaking story from WDIO TV:

The Duluth Police Department says a body believed to be a missing college student has been pulled from the harbor near where he was last seen.
Twenty-one-year-old Jacob Lavoie had last been seen at Grandma's Sports Garden early Sunday morning.  Police said on Friday that a body had been pulled from the Minnesota Slip in Canal Park.

The body has not been positively identified as Lavoie.

The young man was from the Twin Cities and was starting his senior year at UMD..
