18-Year-Old Facing Felony Charge for Assault Involving Bong
18-year-old Maddison K-Marie Swanson is charged with second-degree assault, gross misdemeanor riot and misdemeanor property damage.
Rochester police responded to a 911 hangup at a home along Homestead Village Ln. SE shortly before 9 p.m. The victim told officers Swanson and four other individuals entered his home.
Once inside, Swanson grabbed a glass bong from behind a television and struck the victim in the head, the complaint says.
The 18-year-old then broke the bong over the TV and walked towards the victim with the broken bong, threatening to stab and beat him, the court document alleges.
Swanson and the others left after a witness told them to get out.
The victim had a small mark on the side of his head. The TV, which the victim said was worth $500, was also broken, the complaint says.
Swanson was released without bail following her first court appearance Thursday morning. She is due back in court next month.
