Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Byron man has entered guilty pleas to charges that alleged he took thousands of dollars belonging to a vulnerable adult while he was assisting the victim.

Court documents indicate Olmsted County Judge Jody Williamson placed 54-year-old James Brewer into a one-year diversion program, which means the charges will be dismissed if he successfully completes the program. One of the requirements imposed on Brewer is payment of $7000 in restitution.

He was charged earlier this year with 3 counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult. Two of the charges are felonies and the third is a gross misdemeanor.
