The preliminary crash investigation indicates a vehicle occupied by two men was traveling north on County Rd. 3 and had slowed to make a turn when it was rear-ended by a car.

The driver of the car, described as a woman, was trapped inside of her  vehicle, Parkin said. Members of the Byron Fire Department had to extricate the woman.

She was then flown to a nearby hospital by Mayo One. Parkin says an update on her condition is not available.
