
Rushford Woman Taken to Hospital After Car-Semi Collision
Rushford, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Fillmore County woman was injured in a crash involving a semi truck on a southeast Minnesota highway.

The State Patrol responded to the collision shortly before noon on Thursday. Both drivers were the only occupants in their vehicles.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on Hwy. 43 about five miles north of Rushford.
A car and the semi were both heading north on the two-lane highway when they collided, the state crash report says.

42-year-old Laura Lynn Kahoun of Rushford was driving the car.
The State Patrol says she suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse for further care.
70-year-old Gary Eugene Chadbourn was identified as the truck driver. The Minnesota City man escaped the crash uninjured, according to the State Patrol.
The state crash report does not say which vehicle was leading. It also says both motorists were buckled up and that alcohol was not involved in the crash.
Hwy. 43 was reported to be dry at the time of the collision. The Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Rushford Fire Department and Rushford Ambulance also responded to the crash.
