Western Wisconsin Woman Accused of Stealing Then Crashing Car in Rochester, MN

44-year-old Christina Marie Sievert of Holman, WI is charged with one count of motor vehicle theft and a count of first-degree property damage.

The criminal complaint says she stole the vehicle while it was left running outside of the bar on the night of February 16.

After responding to the stolen vehicle report, officers were dispatched to a different location on Civic Center Dr. Northwest on the report of a suspicious vehicle. Responding officers found the missing vehicle abandoned at the scene, the complaint says.

The car had suffered noticeable front end damage, the charges indicate. Police were also called to a reported hit and run at an apartment complex in southeast Rochester just moments before responding to the stolen vehicle car.

Surveillance footage from the apartment complex shows the stolen car, driven by Sievert, ramming into a different vehicle parked at the complex four times, the charges say.

Sievert was seen returning to the bar where the car was stolen on foot then getting into a vehicle with Wisconsin license plates. Investigators traced the vehicle to a residence in Holeman, WI, the court document says.

The owner of the vehicle Sievert is accused of smashing into reported $5,665.43 in damages. A damage estimate for the vehicle Sievert is accused of stealing is not listed in the complaint.
