Child Killed in House Fire in East-Central Minnesota

Sturgeon Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - Fire investigators in east-central Minnesota are searching for the cause of a house fire early today that claimed a child's life.
The Pine County Sheriff's Office says a 911 caller reported the fire around shortly after 1:30 AM at a home near Sturgeon Lake. A news release says the caller also stated a juvenile was still inside the residence.
Firefighters from Sturgeon Lake and several nearby communities responded to the scene and found the juvenile male, but he had already died from his injuries. The name and age of the victim have not been released.
An investigator from the State Fire Marshal's Office was called to the property to determine the ignition source of the deadly fire.
