Clerk Attacked During Robbery at Rochester Gas Station, Police Looking for Suspect
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police are investigating an assault and robbery reported at a Rochester gas station early Tuesday morning.

Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to the incident at the convenience store around 4 a.m.
The employee who reported being assaulted during the alleged robbery is 73 years old.
Rochester Police Looking for Robbery & Assault Suspect
The reported assault and robbery occurred at the Circle K Gas Station at 400 4th St. Southeast.
The clerk reported asking the assailant, who had been in a bathroom for an extended period of time, to exit the bathroom to allow for cleaning.
Police say the clerk reported being punched after the suspect became upset when asked to leave the bathroom. The suspect then ran behind the counter and the employee again asked the assailant to leave.
Grayson said the suspect punched the clerk for a second time and the clerk responded by deploying pepper spray or another kind of aerosol chemical irritant.
The suspect then reportedly took multiple packs of cigarettes and fled the store. The clerk did not require medical attention, according to the police report.
So far no arrest has been made. A physical description of the suspect was not released.
