Bitterly cold temperatures and wind chill readings were reported everywhere in Minnesota this morning. The mercury dipped below zero in Rochester around 2:30 yesterday

afternoon and won’t get back above zero until sometime tomorrow. And after a brief warmup tomorrow, colder weather will gradually return over the weekend and subzero temperatures can be expected next week.

So far this month, Rochester has had 13 days of below zero weather - and 11 of those have been 9 below or colder. This morning’s unofficial low was minus 17. Wind chill readings were in the minus 40’s through much of the morning.
