
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Suspects Alcohol Use in Significant Injury Crash Near Byron
Responding deputies found one vehicle in the ditch that had rolled onto its side, Parkin said.
Byron, MN (KROC-AM News)- Alcohol use was suspected in an Olmsted County crash that resulted in significant injuries.

That’s according to Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin. He says deputies responded to the crash shortly before 11:00 Sunday morning.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, Parkin said. So far limited information is available.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Country Club Rd. and Olmsted County Rd. 3 in rural southeastern Byron.
Responding deputies found one vehicle in the ditch that had rolled onto its side, Parkin said.
Two people were transported by ambulance to a hospital with what the sheriff’s office describes as "significant injuries.” Their names have not been released.
Parkin says deputies found an open bottle of alcohol near the scene. Byron First Responders and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the crash.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
