Crash Near Faribault Claims Life of North-Central Minnesota Woman

Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has identified the drivers involved in a fatal crash Friday afternoon on I-35 near Faribault.

The crash report says 63-year-old Mona Bengston of Aitkin was driving an SUV north on the freeway when it crashed into the back of a northbound pickup driven by 46-year-old Henning Hogue of Livington, Texas. The collision occurred shortly before 12:30 PM about 3 miles south of Faribault.

The State Patrol says Bengston was unresponsive when emergency responders arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hogue was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
