Crash Near Zumbro Falls Sends Rochester, MN Man to Hospital
Zumbro Falls, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash near Zumbro Falls sent a Rochester man to the hospital and injured a teenage girl Sunday afternoon.
The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash just north of the intersection of Hwy. 63 and Hwy. 60. It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The State Crash report indicates 57-year-old Stephen Robert Marsolek was driving a car north on Hwy. 63 when it collided with a southbound pick-up. Marsolek was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
His 16-year-old passenger also suffered what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries but was not hospitalized for further care. The pick-up driver was identified as 31-year-old Cole Christopher Zeien of Lake City. He and three boys riding his vehicle, ages 13, 9 and 3, escaped the two-vehicle crash without injury.
The state report says everyone in the crash was buckled up and that alcohol was not involved. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Zumbrota Fire Department and Lake City Ambulance also responded to the crash.
