Crash on Southeast Minnesota Highway Sends Driver to Hospital
Winona, MN (KROC-AM News)- An early morning crash in southeast Minnesota sent a van driver to the hospital Tuesday.
The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 6:15 a.m. The driver was the only person in the vehicle.
The single-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Seminary Rd. in rural western Winona. The state crash report indicates a westbound van went off the road and into the ditch.
25-year-old Carl Lee Rackow of Winona was identified as the van driver. He was taken from the scene to the Winona hospital with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Rackow was not buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the report. The road was described as wet at the time of the crash.
The Winona Police Department, Goodview Police Department, Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Lewiston Ambulance, Lewiston Fire Department and MnDOT also responded to the scene.
