Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A single-vehicle crash sent a Rochester man to the hospital Monday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the crash on Hwy. 52 near the 2nd St. interchange at 10:30 a.m. The crash report indicates an SUV carrying two people was heading south on the freeway when the driver lost control of the vehicle then hit the median wall.

The driver is identified as 51-year-old Kip Levos. He was taken to nearby St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 48-year-old Gregory Lovelace of Coon Rapids, MN, was not hurt.

The crash report says the road had snow and ice on it. Both of the crash victims were wearing their seatbelts. Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Rochester Fire Department assisted the State Patrol at the crash site.
