Dover Fire That Sent Man to Hospital Under Investigation
Dover, MN (KROC-AM News)- An animal complaint turned into a firefighting effort at a residence in Dover on Tuesday.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin said deputies responded to the animal complaint in the 100 block of South St. While at the scene, deputies saw a resident go inside the home then observed smoke and fire coming from the structure.
Parkin said the fire was believed to have been coming from the kitchen area of the home. The man at the home was then brought to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported, Parkin said. The Eyota Fire Department responded to put out the blaze.
The flames appeared to have been contained to the kitchen area. The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate is not immediately available.
