
Rochester Police: Young Man Taken to ER After Apparent Drug Overdose
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A young man was rushed to the emergency room after an apparent drug overdose at home in Rochester.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson, who said the apparent overdose occurred early Thursday morning.
First responders found him on the floor of the residence, Grayson said.

20-Year-Old Man Rushed to Emergency Room After Apparent Drug Overdose at Northeast Rochester, MN Home
The overdose was reported around 4:45 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of 17th Ave. Northeast, the police report says.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided the man with life-saving care.
He was then transported to an emergency department for further medical attention, Grayson said.
Police say the apparent drug overdose victim is 20 years old. His name has not been released.

Thursday morning’s overdose response is at least the third suspected drug overdose reported in Rochester in the new year.
A 52-year-old man died from drug use on the morning of Jan. 7 in the 5200 block of Pinehurst Lane Northwest.

About two hours before that, officers used narcan to revive an unresponsive 19-year-old woman in the 300 block of 31st St. Northeast. Police said at the time that the young woman used cocaine that may have contained fentanyl.
