Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teen motorcyclist from Byron was injured after colliding with a dump truck on a Rochester freeway Thursday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 6:30 a.m. The collision occurred at the Hwy. 52 and 6th St. SW interchange.

Both the motorcycle and dump truck were southbound when they collided, according to the state crash report.

19-Year-Old Byron Woman Injured in Motorcycle-Dump Truck Crash on Hwy. 52 in Rochester

19-year-old Icess India Adams was identified as the motorcycle operator. She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. 

The state crash report does not include the name of the dump truck driver. 

Adams was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the State Patrol says.

Mayo Clinic Ambulance and the Rochester Police Department also responded to the crash.
