
Early Morning Crash Near Stewartville Leads to Injuries for Rochester Teen
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester teen was injured in an Olmsted County crash early Thursday morning.

That’s according to Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Malinda Hanson, who said deputies responded to the single-vehicle accident shortly before 12:15 a.m.
The vehicle involved in the crash had left the roadway.

18-year-Old Rochester Man Injured in Crash Near Stewartville Thursday Morning
The driver was the only person involved, preliminary information released by the sheriff’s office indicates.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Olmsted County Rd. 3 and Olmsted County Rd. 6, which is about four miles west of Stewartville.
Responding deputies found the vehicle in the north ditch east of the intersection, Hanson said. The sheriff’s office is describing the occupant of the vehicle as an 18-year-old man.
Alcohol Suspected Factor
Hanson said he was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

The crash is under investigation. Preliminary information indicates alcohol is suspected of playing a role in causing the crash, Hanson said.
