Elderly Rochester Residents Injured in Crash

Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two elderly Rochester residents were among the three people transported to St. Mary's hospital following a traffic crash on Highway 63 just north of Stewartville this afternoon.
The State Patrol says 83-year-old Robert Lee was driving a minivan south on the highway when he crashed into the back of a pickup truck stopped for the stoplight at the intersection with Schumann Drive Northwest. The crash was reported shortly before 2 PM.
Lee and his passenger, 90-year-old Sue Rothchild of Rochester, along with the other driver, 60-year-old Raymond Steichen of Spring Valley, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol notes all three were wearing seatbelts.
