Eyota Man Arrested in Child Sex Abuse Case

Eyota, MN (KROC AM News) - An Eyota man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually abusing a young girl.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott Behrns says investigators were contacted by the mother of the girl Tuesday. Behrns says evidence of the alleged abuse was found on a computer owned by 36-year-old Michael Smith. It’s unknown when the alleged abuse took place.

Behrns says Smith is expected to be charged with 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct and possession of child porn.
