Faribault Man Gets 27 Years for Federal Sex Crime
The Cedar Rapids, IA (KROC-AM News) - A southern Minnesota man has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for a sex trafficking conviction.
51-year-old Terrence Nordwall of Faribault was found guilty last fall of attempted sex trafficking of children, attempted enticement of minors, and travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. Federal prosecutors presented evidence showing Nordwall drove from his home to the Cedar Rapids Iowa area believing he was going to meet a pair of juvenile girls for sexual contact. Court records show he had arranged the meeting with a man he believed was a "pimp" but was actually an undercover law enforcement officer.
Nordwall was previously convicted of felony criminal sexual conduct and the possession of child pornography in Minnesota in 2004.
