
Bicyclist Killed, Motorist Arrested Following Minneapolis Collision
Minneapolis, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A bicyclist is dead and a motorist is in custody following a collision in Minneapolis.

A news release issued by the Minneapolis Police Department says the fatal collision occurred around 3 a.m. on Monday.
The motorist was behind the wheel of a Ford Edge.

Bicyclist in His 50's Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle in Minneapolis
The vehicle-bike collision occurred at the intersection of Hiawatha Ave. and East 35th St. Preliminary information indicates the motorist was traveling south on Hiawatha Ave. when he struck the bicyclist.
Police are describing the biker as a man in his 50’s. First responders gave him CPR after finding him lying in the street, unconscious with life-threatening injuries, the news release says.
The man was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. His name has not been released.
Motorist Identified, Suspected of Being Impaired
Authorities identified the motorist as 23-year-old Diallo Greer. He was taken into custody and brought to a hospital where investigators collected a sample for testing.
Greer was then booked into the Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide. Police say Greer is also suspected of driving under the influence.
The deadly incident is under investigation.
