Rochester Woman Killed in Crash Between Kasson and Dodge Center

The deadly collision occurred between Kasson and Dodge Center on Dodge County Rd. 34 east of Dodge County Rd. 9.

The preliminary investigation indicates the Rochester woman was driving a Mustang eastbound on the centerline of the two-lane road.

A witness, who was heading west, said they swerved to miss the Mustang and that a pick-up truck behind them could not avoid colliding with the Mustang, according to Rose.

Authorities suspect the Mustang driver was killed on impact. Rose said she had to be extricated from the vehicle. Her name is being withheld pending family notification.

The two adults and a small child are from Dodge Center. Their names have not been released.

They were outside of their vehicle when first responders arrived and were eventually transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Rose says.

Authorities reopened the roadway around 4:15 p.m. Monday.
