Eyota, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash at an interchange in Olmsted County claimed the life of a Wisconsin woman.

She was a passenger in a car driven by a Wisconsin man. The State Patrol responded to the deadly collision around 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

The other vehicle involved in the fatal crash was a semi.

34-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash With Semi at I-90 Interchange in Eyota

The fatal crash occurred at the Interstate 90 and Hwy. 42/Olmsted County Rd. 7 interchange south of Eyota

The car had exited eastbound I-90 and had reached the top of the ramp when it entered the intersection and collided with the northbound semi, according to the state crash report.

The State Patrol has identified the passenger in the car as a 34-year-old Taylor Alix Hermeier of La Crosse. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

41-year-old Johnathan Curtis Gerow of Hayward, WI was identified as the car driver. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for further care, according to the State Patrol. 

37-year-old Daniel John Kalwasinski of Rochester was identified as the truck driver. The State Patrol says he was not hurt. 

All three occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates. 

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Eyota Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Transportation also responded to the fatality.
