Farmington, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage man from Faribault lost his life in a head-on crash in Dakota County Sunday.

The young man who was killed in the crash was a passenger. 

The State Patrol responded to the deadly crash shortly after 3:30 p.m. Authorities are investigating whether or not alcohol was involved.

19-Year-Old Faribault Man Killed in Head-on Crash on Hwy. 3 Near Farmington

The fatal collision occurred on Hwy. 3 south of Farmington. A southbound SUV crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound car, the state crash report says. 

19-year-old Adin Nathaniel Castle was riding in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the State Patrol says. 

18-year-old Arianna Grace Hess of Farmington was identified as the car driver. The State Patrol says she was taken to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Driver Who Entered Opposite Lane Identified

36-year-old David James Miller of Oakdale was driving the SUV. He was also taken to Regions, according to the State Patrol. 

The state crash report indicates investigators have not yet determined whether or not Miller was under the influence of alcohol. 

All three occupants were wearing their seatbelts, the State Patrol says.
