
38-Year-Old Lying in Rochester Road Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle
(UPDATE) - Rochester police have identified the victim as 38-year-old Nathan Westergaard of Rochester.
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is investigating a fatal crash.

Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers were called to the report of an accident with injuries shortly before 5:00 Sunday morning.
The victim of the fatality was not in a vehicle, the police report indicates.

Man Lying in Road Dies After Being Run Over by Vehicle Along Salem Rd. Southwest in Rochester
Grayson said the deadly incident occurred in the 2700 block of Salem Rd. Southwest, which is near Bamber Lake in Rochester. A motorist reported hitting a person who was riding in the roadway, Grayson said.
Responding officers found the man hit by the vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the four-lane roadway.

Despite life-saving measures by the first responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to Grayson.
Police are describing the crash victim as a 38-year-old man from Rochester. His name has not been released.
The name of the driver who reported running over the man also has not been disclosed.
